Lake
Whitney Marina operates year-round.
This full-service marina is
located mid-lake between
the dam and the mouth of the Brazos River. It's also near the main channel
of this 108' deep, USACE-controlled reservoir. At normal lake
levels, our floating dock sits on over forty feet
of water.
Bait, tackle, snacks,
drinks,
ice, and more are available at the
ship's store. Don't
forget to bring your fishing rod, knife, baggies for cleaned fish, camera, and state
fishing license!

HOURS OF OPERATION - The indoor fishing area is OPEN to the
visiting public on FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAY from 8am-5pm. Hours are subject to
change without advance notice. Please call ahead.
INDOOR FISHING FEE -
The indoor fishing fee is $10.00 per person, per day with
a limit of one rod per person. One fee for all ages. Individual
registration and payment of indoor fishing fee is handled inside the
floating ship's store only, which is located at the far
end of the store parking lot (refer to the
property map). NOTE: When you
enter the property, proceed directly to the ship's store. Do not stop at
the guard booth to fill out a vehicle tag or pay a vehicle tag fee; they do not apply to indoor fishing
customers.
All fees are
due in full immediately upon arrival and before putting any rods in the
water. No refunds, credits,
or IOUs. Indoor fishing permit is non-transferable. Payment of indoor fishing fee does not
include access or use of any other facility or amenity on the property. Failure to pay required fees in advance or
violation of any other rule
or policy may result in immediate ejection from the
property. Violators are subject to being reported to law
enforcement.

Rules & Policies:

There is a required fee charged per person, per day to fish
on the property. The
indoor fishing area is located on the ship's store dock. This is the
designated area on the property to fish. No trespassing on boat docks.

Posted rules and
policies must be observed at all times while on the property.

The posted speed limit is 10mph.
Watch for loose gravel. Do not spin tires or skid in parking lots.
Watch for wildlife, pets, small children, adults, boat trailers,
delivery trucks, and other vehicles in the parking lots.

Parking is
located in the store parking lot. Park on gravel area only. Do not park
on
grass, or beyond cones or posts in parking area. Do not block access
to boat dock walkways, restrooms, dumpsters, or unloading/loading
areas around walkways.

Wildlife for bag limits, regulations, and
state fishing license
requirements.

Contact management immediately
to report littering, trespassing, or suspicious
activities.

A life jacket is recommended for small
children and visitors unable to swim. Children must remain under
adult supervision and control at all times. Children may not be left
unattended on the ship's store dock.

No jumping, swimming, or diving at store dock
or other docks in the marina.
-
Only walk on the docks. No running,
horseplay, bicycles, or skateboards allowed.
-
No smoking, sparks, or open flames
allowed near gas pumps or anywhere else on dock.
-
No open containers of alcohol
allowed on ship's store dock.
-
No outside food or drink. No sunflower seeds. No
picnics on dock.
-
When fishing, please stay clear of gas pumps, the ship's store
doors,
and boats loading or unloading passengers around the store dock. Do not block access to cleats or lines around dock. Fishing
rods
may not be fastened to dock posts or cleats.
-
Keep your immediate area clean and tidy. Chairs,
tackle boxes, nets, fishing rods, and personal articles may not
block access to doorways, gates, or walkways.
-
Fishing rods may not be left unattended.
-
Return
chairs where you found them before leaving the area. Do not lean
back or tip forward in chairs. Notify the ship's store if a chair is
damaged.

Please do not use the chairs, benches, handrails, or
folding tables to cut
bait.
-
All wrappers, packaging,
hooks, unused bait, and fishing line must be discarded in trash can
only. Do not leave anything sitting on the dock.

Do not dump anything
in the water, on the dock, or at the
fish cleaning station.
